Internal trainings

Three internal trainings were organised in the framework of the Lost Millennials project. The first training session provided an overview on evaluation methods, while the second and third sessions focused on the quantitative and qualitative methods of impact assessment.

The first panel discussion focused on good practices and methodological challenges to the evaluation of initiatives and measures targeting young people, NEETs in particular. Invited speakers were experts and researchers in the field of youth (un)employment, employment initiatives, evidence-based design of active labour market measures and impact evaluation, and the aim was to identify critical methodological challenges in this field.

The second panel discussion of the series aimed to present three approaches to 25+ NEETs activation in the context of the social system of three different European countries.

Watch the third panel discussion of the Lost Millennials event series. The transition from school – or other forms of training – to the field of work is not always a smooth and easy task, as proven by the high level of NEETs after the mandatory education is finished.

The aim of the Lost Millennials event is to focus on these challenges, initially from a holistic perspective, and then specifically, in the case of some particular segments of the 25-29-year-old population – such as the rural, or the ethnic Roma population –, where the proportion of the NEETs is higher than at societal level.

Watch the fourth panel discussion of the Lost Millennials event series aiming to explore strategies to upskill and retrain NEETs to help them gain new skills and eventually enter the labor market.
